Since building our house a few years ago, I’ve slowly been breaking down the details of each room. I have several general home blog posts since I know you guys like all the info and today’s focus is on our kitchen. I’ve already done a blog post on our dishes and all that and link my ever-changing decor here, but this post will break down more of the design.
Let me know if I’m missing any details y’all are curious about.
xx Ashley
KITCHEN DESIGN DETAILS
For most of the design, we worked with Ginger from Urbanology Designs, and as with the rest of the house, she made our vision come to life.
Our kitchen is truly one of my favorite places in the house. We designed it with future kids in mind and since it sits off of our living room, we wanted it to be something that felt comfortable, useful, and also beautiful. We went big on our island and the marble choice and I’ve been SO happy with it! Our marble was custom and purchased through Allied Stone. It is treated with Antolini’s Azerocare treatment and if you are getting real marble, I would definitely consider some type of treatment. It’s a game-changer for maintenance and makes it really easy to clean. I didn’t want to worry about our countertops!
Since our island is a statement piece, we kept the rest of the room pretty minimal. The paint throughout our house and kitchen is Farrow and Ball “All White” and we used “Off Black” for the cabinets.
Our pendants are these from Kelly Wearstler, another pick I’m so happy with, and here are our stools.

Absolutely love your kitchen! Thank you for sharing more details. Do you happen to know where your cabinet hardware is from?
