Tomorrow is the official start of summer. And while many of us have already been feeling the warmer temps, I wanted to share a few of my go-to picks for the new season. This week is all about Summer Essentials on The Teacher Diva and today we are starting with two closet essential: a midi dress and straw hat. Stay tuned as I share a few of my favorite things each day to help you get through Summer.
This striped dress (remember when I wore it here) has been the best little dress to travel with. I took it on our a work trip few weeks ago and ended up packing it again to wear on our family vacation. I love finding a dress that can be worn almost everywhere. I know many of you have requested a few summer work options and this dress is by far one of the best. Pair with a denim jacket (I also love this one) and your favorite sandals or block heel for an office friendly look. We all know it get’s chilly in the office so don’t be afraid to wear layers (even in the summer).
I hope you all had a wonderful Father’s Day yesterday. The Robertson family headed off to Mexico for a little family vacation, but Austin and I made sure to spend lots of quality time with my dad before we left on Sunday. I am so thankful for my sweet dad.

Love your posts. Love this midi dress too. Being busty, I would need to wear a bra. Are the straps wide enough to hide bra straps?

Thank you for your question! I totally get it. I wore a strapless bra with this. The straps are wide enough for a regular bra, but I did not want to deal with making sure the straps were hidden the whole day. If you need strapless bra recs, let me know! I have one that is the best for busty gals!
