Rent The Runway Unlimited — Here’s My Honest Review

Back in college, Rent the Runway was my go-to for formals or social events. I could rent a gown or cocktail dress without having to commit to a hefty price tag and still wear the designer dress of my dreams. And though I’ve been out of college for a little while, I still find this service to be effective.

About a year ago, I was introduced to Rent the Runway Unlimited. And it changed the way I shop for clothing. Basically, this service lets you choose up to 4 designer items at a time. And the best part, you can keep them for as long as you’d like or swap them out for something new. PS: To clear the air, this is something I’ve paid for, no discounts, just a fan who loves this service. Thankfully they took note and I’ve done a couple of partnerships with RTR throughout the year, but the subscription is something I purchase and keep up with on my own.

QUESTION #1: HOW MUCH IS RENT THE RUNWAY UNLIMITED?

QUESTION #4: SO ONCE YOU GET THE 4 PIECES, HOW LONG CAN YOU KEEP THEM BEFORE SWAPPING OUT?

You can keep them as long as your membership is active. You can also swap them out as often as you’d like. Typically in a month, I swap out 6 pieces while some I like to hold on to for a little longer. They get new arrivals weekly so you always have new options.

QUESTION #5: WITH THE UNLIMITED PACKAGE, CAN YOU RENT BOTH MATERNITY AND NON-MATERNITY?

Yes! You can rent anything that is available, both maternity and non-maternity pieces. They also have plus-size and petite. 

QUESTION #6: CAN YOU SEND BACK SOME OF YOUR ITEMS AND STILL KEEP ONE? 

Yes! I kept this Mama Jacket for a few weeks even though I already sent this dress and my other items back. Just remember, you can only have 4 items out at a time. So if you have 1 left at home, you can pick 3 new pieces etc. 

QUESTION #7: WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BRANDS TO RENT? 

Ah, tough question. I typically look at Veronica Beard, Rebecca Taylor, Theory, and Equipment. I also love some of their jewelry. I’ve been able to rent some beautiful Chanel earrings before, but you have to be quick. They are such a popular piece to rent!

All in all, I would definitely recommend Rent the Runway Unlimited. Several of my friends have started using this for their “work wardrobe” and it makes shopping and budgeting so much easier.
